FAQ
What kind of metal is my jewelry made of?
All of my pieces are handcrafted from sterling silver, which I source directly from Rio Grande. Sterling silver is made of 92.5% pure silver and 7.5% copper, creating a strong, durable metal that still maintains silver’s bright luster and shine. Sterling silver is also hypoallergenic, making it safe for most people with metal sensitivities to wear.
Does sterling silver tarnish?
Yes, sterling silver naturally tarnishes over time. Because it contains copper, it can react with environmental factors in the air, leading to slight discoloration. The good news is that this doesn’t harm the metal itself and can be easily polished away with the jewelry polishing cloth I include with every order.
How can I prevent my jewelry from tarnishing?
While tarnishing can’t be stopped completely, you can slow down the process by:
-
Storing jewelry in a tarnish-resistant cloth inside a sealed bag or container.
-
Keeping it away from moisture and chemicals.
-
Removing your jewelry before showering, exercising, or swimming.
Do you take custom orders?
Yes! I love creating custom pieces. You can reach out to me through the Contact page, where you can email me with your ideas. I also accept requests for alterations on pieces you’ve purchased, or if you have specific questions about a design you’re interested in.
Do you accept returns?
Yes, under certain conditions:
-
Items must be returned unworn, in their original packaging, and in the same condition within 14 days of delivery (this does not include faulty items)
-
Return shipping is at the buyer’s expense and risk, unless otherwise agreed upon
-
A refund will be issued once I receive the jewelry back in its original condition
What about rings?
It is the buyer’s responsibility to ensure the correct ring size is provided at checkout. Since these are one-of-a-kind handmade pieces, rings cannot be resized.
